Often called an old soul with a young heart, Ty Waters is on a mission to help mankind find peace. He explains when asked about his newest song, “I wanted to write a song about world peace, but then I realized that we should have peace with our family and friends first and if we have that, we can have peace everywhere.”

“Only Human,” the single, features many extremely talented musicians, including Randy Waldman, Rami Jaffee, Kenny Aronoff, Luis Conte, Michael Fish Herring, Tariqh Akoni, Dan Antunovich, Fred White, Lynne Fiddmont, and Grammy-winner on harmonica Howard Levy.

The album Only Human was produced by composer and pianist Dawn Elder. In addition to his debut, award-winning title track and single, it features eight stunning tracks co-composed and co-arranged by Elder and Waldman, and features a wide array of legendary musicians, including all of the above, as well as Errol Cooney, Nat Watts (Stevie Wonder), Bruce Gaitsch, Sean Hurley (John Mayer, Robin Thicke, Jeff Beck), Carlitos Del Puerto, Vinnie Collaiuta (Sting, Peter Gabriel, and more), Les Lovitt, Bill Bergman (Eagles), Arlan Oscar (Joe Bonamassa), to name a few. Other songs on the album are written by multi-platinum writers Jud Friedman, Michael Sembello, and Andre Lindal.

Waters got his start at the Ultimate Vocal & Music Summit, an elite program for highly focused and talented young singers-songwriters, developed by veteran composer and producer Dawn Elder. During his time there, he caught Elder’s eye and she offered to mentor him as part of her elite team of protges.

He has performed at various events and fundraisers, such as Variety’s Children’s Charity’s 50th Anniversary Show Your Hearts Telethon, Canada Winter Games, Canucks Place galas, Canada Special Olympics, NHL Canucks, Whitecaps soccer, BC Lions football, and Canadian baseball games.

On January 7, 2017, Waters will perform at APAP, the global performing arts conference, taking place in New York City on January 6-10, 2016. He will perform as part of the concert premiere of “Straight To The Heart” featuring an award-winning group of artists representing a wide spectrum of ages and diverse backgrounds and nearly every genre of music. They all came together to share their talents in effort to bridge our communities and heal the social divides that have become significant throughout our country. Waters said, “I hope to share my music in an effort to bring some joy and help to start a positive dialogue.”
